The Staff
Our centre is small, friendly and family focused, having a max capacity of only 29 children. We have a dedicated team of qualified early childhood professionals and we all act like one big happy family. On average, some of us have been working here continuously for over 10 years, with a few having been here much longer than that!

Staff to child ratios as outlined by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority are maintained at all times.

The centre employs regular relief staff who are familiar to the children, families and service to ensure the continuity of care.

Our staff take great pride in providing quality care, while working as a team that focuses holistically on the welfare of all the children within the service.

Fluffy The Chicken
In 2009 Malvern Day Nursery hired an incubator with some eggs in it.
We feel privileged to have our chicken stay with us, and over time it seems she thinks she's human. As she has grown with us, she has a very personable and patient nature, and is very kind and accustomed to being handled by the children.
Fluffy offers the children the general sense of warmth and comfort that comes from sharing experiences with an animal, while allowing the children to adopt the responsibility of caring for her.
